A Historical Overview of Protein Cookies

Protein cookies are a modern twist on the classic chocolate chip cookie, born out of the fitness movement of the 2000s when people sought ways to satisfy sweet cravings without derailing their health goals. Traditional cookies, loaded with butter and sugar, were reimagined by using high-protein ingredients like whey powder, oats, and Greek yogurt. Greek yogurt, known for its creamy texture and probiotic benefits, became a favorite swap for butter or oil, adding moisture and protein. Today, protein cookies are loved by athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and anyone who wants dessert with a nutritious boost.

2. Do I need protein powder for this recipe?
